Yap

Yap, part of the Federated States of Micronesia, hosted the last Micronesian Games in July 2018. It is the westernmost island in the region, situated between Guam and Palau. The state includes Yap, Gagil, Tomil, and Rumung islands, as well as 134 other outer islands. Yap is renowned for its stone money, enormous crystalline disks up to 2 meters in diameter, weighing up to four tons. Yap has its own constitutional government, comprising executive, legislative, and judicial branches, along with traditional leadership in the Council of Pilung and the Council of Tamol.
