The Jobwa Dance holds immense cultural significance in the Marshall Islands, being regarded as the highest and most sacred ritual. However, due to its exclusive nature, it is a rare sight for many Marshallese. Only a High Chief and select families are authorized to perform this traditional dance.
The Marshallese Flag dance is a significant national dance in the modern Marshall Islands. It was inspired by Late Paramount Chief and First President of the Marshall Islands Amata Kabua, and the unique Marshallese uniforms were created by Delta Garstang. The song was written and produced by late Almira Momotaro. Over the years, this dance has taken on its own identity and has become an important part of the Marshallese culture.
